I know I'll get sick of emailing all of you to tell you what I'm up to, so I'll just write everything up once and then you can get your fill from here.

Project Runway Party
Went to Melissa's for to watch the reality show "Project Runway" last night. I came armed with a bottle of wine and had a blast. Her little apartment was a little cramped with the ten or so people that showed up, but it made for a very lively night. I've only seen one episode if this, so I wasn't as into it as some. There was lots of backtalk to the tv throughout the show, and when a commercial came the noise level rose as everybody shouted about who was an ass and who should be kicked off and what dude did to other dude and stuff like that. I met a lot of cool peeps too.

The question of the night, aside from project runway talk, was one based on morality. it was this: if you were waiting in a long line at a restaurant, and had a chance to move to the front of the line, and the price was that one person, 200 years from now, would die from cancer at age 20 instead of 21, would you do it? That in mind, would don't you send your spare change to starving children in africa for the price of a cup of coffee a day? (and we had this conversation before opening the wine!). Anyway, it was a pretty interesting conversatin, I didn't have too many strong opinions since I believe that the whole idea of morality is completely invented by people anyway.

I also lost at armwrestling...badly.

I realized at the end of the night that I was amid a group of avid music enthusiests. There was a very heated debate about the contributions of Pavement vs. weezer, and lots of speculation as to why melissa's CD collection (or her roommates) had a secret hidden stach of Iron Maiden and Judas priest albums.

During the show, we drank every time one of the contestants made a bitchy remark about another...or else when the main dude said "Get it done.". so I'm a little hung over today.

side note - the wine store by my house has 2-for-1 bottles of wine...but they're not very tasty.

Armwrestling. Who does that anymore?
I lost really really badly.
Melissa with friends.
This was a very heated debate about whether Weezer or Pavement made a bigger impact o nteh music scene
